Teacher, Coach

& Graphic Designer
I am a coach's kid, so I grew up all over West Texas, but my family finally settled down in Abilene where I graduated from Abilene High School in 1997. I completed my BBA in General Business at Texas Tech University in 2001. During my time at TTU I received the International Scholarship for Study Abroad and spent one of my last semesters studying International Marketing and Business Communications in London.
I have worked as a freelance graphic designer, photographer and marketing consultant since 1997. In 2004 I joined Parks Printing Co. in Lubbock, Texas, starting as a print salesman and ending my time there as VP of Marketing.
I launched my own design, marketing and print brokerage, Print Ingine, in 2008 and moved my company to Abilene, Texas in 2011.
In August 2016 I started my next great adventure - I became a 5th grade teacher! Coming from a teaching / coaching family, I had always thought about becoming a teacher, it just took me a while to actually get into the classroom and I absolutely love it! In 2020 I starting teaching middle school biology and coaching boys football, basketball and track. I coached football and soccer at Abilene High School, while teaching graphic design there for a year. I currently teach 4th Grade Math and Science in Abilene.
I wrote and published my first children's book, The Purple Polka-Dotted Peanut Butter Eater, in the Summer of 2019. I wrote and published my second children's book, Ask Someone Grumpy to Read You This Book, in the Spring of 2020.
Although during the school year, a majority of my time and focus is centered around a group of amazing students and athletes - I still love graphic design and photography and I continue to work with select clients throughout the year.
